SUMMARY:The Nutcracker
DESCRIPTION:Come see the Nutcracker with school groups and other homeschoolers 12/13 \nThe Nutcracker \nThe Ithaca Ballet is excited to offer a special performance of The Nutcracker\, for schools and groups again this year. In past years this has been a wonderful way for students to experience the wonder and magic of ballet and the tradition of the Nutcracker! This year’s special performance will be held on Friday\, December 13th from 10 AM to 12 noon at the State Theater in Ithaca\, New York. There is a $10 charge per ticket (students and adults) and a limited number of adult chaperones are admitted free of charge. \nIf your family is planning on attending The Nutcracker please email Amanda at soltoffak@gmail.com by Friday\, November 21. In your email to Amanda please include the number of people attending and their names as there will be no paper tickets issued and we will be using names to check people in on the day of the performance. This will greatly assist in planning as seating at The Nutcracker will be in groups. \nAmanda will be collecting RSVPs and payments and writing a single check to the ballet. Please be prepared to pay for your tickets. The deadline for payments is 12/1. Amanda can accept electronic payments (Venmo and Paypal) and cash. Your seats will not be reserved until she receives your full payment. \nThe NLLC Social Committee is also hosting a Ginger Bread House Decorating Party right after The Nutcracker. See the below information: \nGinger Bread House Decorating \nThis year\, right after The Nutcracker performance\, the NLLC Social Committee would like to add to the festivities by hosting a ginger bread house decorating party at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Ithaca\, New York from 1 to 3 PM on Friday\, December 13th. We are just waiting on confirmation from St. Paul’s that their gym will be available for that day and time. \nCome decorate your own pre-assembled ginger bread house while sipping hot cocoa or tea\, nibbling on some refreshments\, and enjoy spending time with friends and family. \nThe Social Committee is asking for a $10 donation to help towards the cost of the ginger bread houses and please bring a decoration to share with the group. \nIf your family is planning on attending the Ginger Bread House Decorating Party go to this link and fill out the sign up form by Friday\, December 6th. This will greatly assist in planning how many houses we will need for the party. \nFeel free to forward this information to other area homeschoolers that we may not have been able to reach.
