Northern Light Learning Center has a number of ways to engage throughout the year. Please keep an eye on this page for new field trip listings, meetings and events.
To add your fun activity or to register for an event, please register through the Member Portal. Please ensure that your membership is up to date before registering for a field trip.

Backstage Field Trip to The Cherry Theater’s production of Rosa and Blanca
Date and Time: TBD
This field trip will be an invitation to part of a rehearsal for The Cherry theater’s upcoming production of Rosa + Blanca, a modern and grown up reimagining of the Grimm fairy tale Snow White and Red Rose. Followed by a Q+A with the production’s design team and a few of the actors.
The ideal student for this field trip would be someone who is interested in any aspect of the performing arts (directing, acting, set design, lighting design, sound design, costume design, stage management, etc.) The ideal student would also be okay with strong langauge as there is a lot of strong language in the play itself (I can provide details if needed).

Potluck, Fall Class Discussion, & Annual Meeting/board election

Join us for the monthly NLLC Potluck at Camp Comstock Girl Scout Camp! It is open to all, anyone interested in learning more about Northern Light Learning Center, members and friends and family! We look forward to celebrating the end of summer day camp with you all!
For this month’s potluck we are setting up a taco bar! Bring your favorite taco filling and toppings to share! NLLC will be providing a variety of taco shells to choose from.
We’ll also be holding our Annual Meeting, discussing Fall session class ideas, and electing new members to the board!
Camp Comstock Girl Scout Camp is located across from the Cayuga Nature Center at 1419 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY 14850. Park at the top of the hill in the grassy field and walk down to the main lodge. There is a gaga ball pit and volleyball net. Bring games or outdoor toys to share and enthusiasm for outdoor play. Don’t forget to bring your own plates, flatware, and water bottle.
Friends and families are welcomed to join as well as new and prospective Northern Light-ers.
